The Mechanical Metamaterials Society has been established in 2015 with the aims of bringing together researchers active in Mechanical Metamaterials, promoting science communication and facilitating the organization of the international conferences on the "auxetics and other materials and models with "negative" characteristics" in Malta.
UPDATE: In 2021, the Society will be hosting the 11th International Conference on Auxetics and other materials and models with "negative" characteristics /16th International Workshop on Auxetics and related systems. This conference had to be postponed to this date due to the unforeseen circumstances brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. Further details will be announced later.
